His songs have featured on British soaps such as Hollyoaks and Emmerdale, and now Tiz McNamara looks forward to his debut EP with the release of the new single Falling Asleep.
Corkman Tiz, a former member of the band The Anybodies, is a singer songwriter and drummer currently based in Toronto, who has racked up over seven million streams on Spotify with his independent releases.
Before his first birthday, Tiz lost his father and two brothers in tragic accidents which have shaped his debut EP April Fool, due out next year.
“This song is the first full song I ever wrote and performed” said Tiz.
“I posted a demo to YouTube of a really poor quality phone recording which quickly accumulated thousands of views and interest, but it wasn’t until this year that I finally got the song recorded. The goal of this song was to try and create a lullaby for adults.”
McNamara’s songs have featured on TV shows Hollyoaks and Emmerdale, as well as gaining support from some of the industry’s heavyweights including BBC Radio 2, Amazing Radio and NME.
Tiz has toured with BRITS Critics Choice Winner James Bay.
The Irishman was delighted to be asked to sing alongside one of his musical heroes Paul McCartney, as well as Robbie Williams, and Shane McGowan under the name ‘The Justice Collective‘.
