Young Californian quartet will also bring a touch of humour to their performance alongside Irish female quartet Lady Barbalade in Castlebar on 12th September
The The Newfangled Four vocal quartet will perform in Mayo this September as one of only five dates in Ireland.
These young men hail from California, and with their brilliant comedy combined with four sublime voices, they are one of the best loved a cappella and barbershop singing groups on this planet!
With a huge following also on Social Media, many of their videos have over one million Youtube views.
The tour is in partnership with Dublin-based Lady Barbalade who celebrate winning gold at the Irish Association of Barbershop Singers, hence the tour title – Goldrush Concert Tour!
In addition to superb singing, these four ladies always bring a sparkle of fun including their amazing signature dresses!
The ladies are no strangers to Mayo, having performed several times at the Mayo International Choral Festival. They are huge fans of Mayo and can’t wait to be back again.
Each concert will also include local input and Castlebar’s concert will feature the very popular Mayo Male Voice Choir. Under the direction of the brilliant Deirdre Lee, this fifty-voice choir produces a sound like no other!
Five dates have been announced in Ireland, which include Dublin, Cork and their only West / North West date – the concert in the acoustically-rich Christchurch, Castlebar at 8pm, on Thursday 12th September.
The concert promises a night of great fun and beautiful music, with songs from the past to the modern.
The event is facilitated by the Mayo International Choral Festival and tickets (€15 / €10) are available on the door or from Eventbrite.ie
