The multi-talented artist announces an Irish tour this winter
Singer songwriter, painter, essayist – Tom Russell has recorded thirty-five highly acclaimed records and published five books.
His songs, in the Americana style, have been recorded by Johnny Cash, Nanci Griffith, K.D. Lang, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Iris Dement, Joe Ely and many others.
One of the best-known compositions from the American musician is Gallo Del Cielo, while one of his most topical is ‘Who’s Gonna Build Your Wall? Watch it here (performed in 2007):

Tom Russell’s latest recording of original compositions October in the Railroad Earth was released in March and became the No. 1 Americana album on Amazon in both Europe and North America.

Russell’s previous album of new original material was the 2015 ‘folk opera’ that was called Tom’s masterpiece, The Rose of Roscrae.
MOJO Magazine named it their ‘Top Folk Album 2015’ while UK Folk lauded it as ‘maybe the most important Americana record of all time’.
The album was included in Top Ten lists of dozens of publications, including the Los Angeles Times in his native California.
Tom Russell graduated from The University of California with a Master’s Degree in Criminology. He has appeared on USA TV show Late Night with David Letterman five times.
