Sarah Keane’s musical adventure continues. Her watershed debut album is almost ready to drop, marking a point when the growing reputation of this singer and songwriter from Ballina could propel her into a whole new realm of possibilities.
Sarah’s album ‘Something Bigger’ will be released on October 23, heralding a rush of gigs and promotional interviews for the folk-pop artist.
Sarah, who originally worked under the name Rowlette, has just launched her brand-new single ‘Thunder & Lightning’, the third track to be taken from the upcoming opener album.
The single was produced by Galway based Dave Skelton (Aimee Carty) and mastered by Aidan Foley (Sinead O’Connor, U2). It is an inspirational song, discussing themes like being ready to fail and following your passions.
Explaining the story behind the track, Sarah said: “I wrote ‘Thunder & Lightning’ about how trying things that you think you could fail at is scary, but, ultimately, if you don’t try, you’ve already failed.”
The upbeat song encapsulates Sarah’s distinctive vocals and trademark acoustic guitar, alongside electric guitar and percussive and orchestral elements.
Known across Ireland for her soulful vocals, unique story-telling ability and enchanting performances, Sarah has supported Irish talent both at home and overseas, including CMAT, Jack L, Junior Brother and Lisa Canny.
Her music has been featured on radio and TV in Ireland and abroad, including RTE 1, RTE Radio 1, BBC, 2fm and Hot Press.
She has just finished a tour across Ireland and London, visiting venues like the Camden Club, the Spirit Store, Dolan’s Warehouse and the Ruby Sessions.
