Enniscrone electronica for Ballina gig this Saturday

Art of Alegbra is creative music artist David Hallinan from Enniscrone, Co. Sligo, known to his friends as Jack. His 2019 self-titled debut album delivered 11 tracks of mystical electronica, with the stylish ‘Maasai’ earning him considerable acclaim and becoming ‘Track of the Week’ on Dan Hegarty’s 2FM show.

He performed at last year’s Ballina Fringe Festival, as well as at Wild and Well Festival in Enniscrone.

Art of Alegbra will be bringing his remarkable creative skills to Ballina Arts Centre on July 20, together with co-collaborator Afro-Irish MC Breezy iDeyGoke.

David played bass guitar with a number of cover bands before moving to Paris and discovering electronic music. The Sligo electronic producer blends a mix of electronica sub-genres, including trip-hop, downtempo, darkwave and the LA ‘Beat-Scene’, and inspired by artists like Boards of Canada, Massive Attack, Rival Consoles, Teebs and Andy Stott.

Breezy iDeyGoke is an Afro-Irish artist renowned for fusing musical influences of rap, r&b and afrobeat, all while presenting his message with cool-headed lyricism. Breezy has cultivated a unique brand of colourful, bold and rhythmic sounds.

The pair will be bringing their signature electronic trip-hop vibe to the Ballina venue, along with specially curated visual projections that will create a fully immersive and unique audio-visual live experience.

The show takes place in Ballina Arts Centre on Saturday, July 20 at 8pm.

Tickets are now on sale at €10 and are available to book online at www.ballinaartscentre.com, by email at info@ballinaartscentre.com or by telephone on 096-73593.
