If you are a music artist, then Ireland Music Week is currently seeking applications for October’s big music showcase in Dublin, the first live festival in three years.
Ireland Music Week used be be known as the Hard Working Class Heroes festival, and is now in its 20th year. The international-facing showcase and conference is seen as a terrific opportunity for emerging talent to be heard by national and global figures in the wider music industry.
Fontaines D.C., Villagers and Hozier are just three of the acts which found the event to be a major springboard to wider success.
To apply to be selected for the 2022 festival, log onto https://www.irelandmusicweek.com and click on the ‘Apply’ button. Applications will be through the artists’ Breaking Tunes profiles. Closing date for is Friday May 20th at 6pm.
For artists of all levels, the conference at this year’s Ireland Music Week festival will give them a chance to learn and develop their craft and create new opportunities with agents, labels, bookers, music supervisors and services from all over the world.
In addition, up to 50 acts will have the chance to perform live during the event.
Some of last year’s big successes to progress from the online festival include Sprints, M(h)aol, Bobbi Arlo, Bicurious, Cooks But We’re Chefs, Dea Matrona, FYA FOX, Niamh Regan, Pastiche, Pretty Happy and Will Troy.
First Music Contact, which runs Ireland Music Week (with the help of The Arts Council and Culture Ireland), works with Irish acts by supporting them through their talent pipeline.
