Luan Parle, a former winner of the Meteor Ireland Music Award for Best Female Artist, entered the music industry at an early age, winning local contests by the age of nine and recording her first album at the age of 12.
The Ghost of Martha, released this weekend, is the third single from the Wicklow artist’s current album Never Say Goodbye, which came out earlier in the year.
The album features ten original tracks that represent Luan’s country, folk and country rock influences, and even includes two co-writes with Dire Straits guitarist Hal Lindes.

Since the album’s release, ‘Never Say Goodbye’ has received almost 800 Irish radio plays reaching an audience of almost two million listeners.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic Luan’s 2020 tour has been postponed for the foreseeable future, and she is working with venues to reschedule shows. Luan performed a live concert from her home as part of Culture Ireland’s # IrelandPerforms and held a series of live online concerts from her Facebook page www.facebook.com/luanparle and her website www.luanparle.com throughout lock-down.
