One of Ireland’s favourite performers, Jon Kenny returns to Ballina Arts Centre next week with his one-man show Crowman, a hilarious account of the life of Dan Lonergan and the various characters he encounters on a daily basis.
Limerick’s Jon Kenny has been a regular in theatres and on television screens over three decades, earning fame as one half of the comedy duo D’Unbelievables in the 1980s and 1990s, with Pat Shortt.
In Crowman, Kenny carries the audience on a roller-coaster through Dan Lonergan’s childhood to middle-age, from the hurling pitch to the pub and from one uproariously funny character to the other. By turns poignant and comic, it is about lost love and the sense of belonging and not belonging to a small community.
Crowman is in Ballina Arts Centre on Friday 21st February, at 8pm. Tickets are priced at €18/€16.
