Galway-born Oisin Browne is the ‘accidental’ songwriter behind a new Christmas single from Nashville singer, Nickie Conley (pictured).
Oisin wrote 100 Christmas Kisses for his children when he couldn’t get a present posted on time for Christmas while he was working in Dubai, and his wife and children were based in Spain.
Nickie Conley’s funky celebration of a favourite time of year for many people, marrying together her gospel inspired voice and larger than life personality, was produced by Roger Ryan, who has played with Whitney Houston, Faith Hill and Kenny Rogers,
The recording came about after Oisin met the producer of the song in a restaurant by chance while holidaying in the south of France.
It is already a season favourite in USA, Canada, UK, Germany and Spain and continues to be added to global radio playlists in anticipation of the festive season in the coming weeks.
100 Christmas Kisses, which Oisin, who also lived in Sligo for a few years, originally titled 100 Emoji Kisses, is now the latest single from Nickie Conley, a former full-time backing singer for Donna Summer.
The musicians who play on the track have performed with Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, Mary J. Blige and John legend, to name a few.
