Young Mayo singer-songwriter Amy McGrath (age 14) recorded her own song 'My Angel' in David Dwane Recording Studio, Ballina.

The original Irish language version of the song, a poignant tribute to her late uncle Martin McGrath, who was diagnosed with cancer age 49, earned the Ballina student second place in Junior Eurovision Eire in November 2016.

The annual televised competition aims to find Ireland's representative in the international Junior Eurovision each year.
